Two People killed due to Centurion flooding , Pretoria
In Tshwane yesterday, two people lost their lives after a car and a motorbike were damaged in floods in Centurion
Several people were rescued from their vehicles after they were trapped in several rivers in the area.
Earlier this week, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a level 4 heavy rain warning,
with heavy rain expected to continue throughout the weekend.
Tshwane Emergency Services spokesperson Lindsay Mnguni said: “Both the driver and
the driver of the truck died and were pulled from the river by rescuers. At around 23:08,
workers found and rescued another patient who was clinging to a lamppost that had been submerged in the river.
